Merlina R. Abulais is a graduate in Fine Arts along with Diploma in Fashion Designing, Diploma in Cosmetology, and Diploma in Dress Making etc…Her special skills include actual on the spot Hand Sketches, Drawing and Rendering using Watercolor , Charcoal and Oil , Fabric Painting and also a qualified and experienced Hair Stylist and Make-up professional. More than two decades of experience in the fashion world make her distinguish from all other designers. Ms. Merlina also developed a new conceptual and unique Jalabiya design named " Emirate Jalabiya " by herself.
She was part of many fashion shows with the prominent personalities, such as the former Miss World 2000 Yuhkta Mookhey, former Miss Universe 2001 Lara Dhutta, and upcoming Miss World 2000 Priyanka Duffar in Dubai, U.A.E. She was also a part of Burj Al Arab Fashion Show and Jewelry Exhibition with Dianor of London Dubai U.A.E and H.H. Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Bint Juma Al Maktoum, wife of General Sheikh. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
